Patriq Nkakalukanyi is a Ugandan actor whose career kicked off after his senior six in a drama called Tricksters until he landed a major role in the movie silent voices concerning the war in northern Uganda by Judith Adongo which has garnered him many roles in other short films and series. He was inspired by the different actors and actresses in the movies he watched which compelled him to scout out acting as a career.
He has worked with many different talented movie directors like Giant Maru on SIPI, Richard Mulindwa on a movie Laila, a series Mistakes Gals do, Usama on the short film Ticktok and love faces.
He has faced lots of shortcomings especially at the start with finding auditions but along the way now he prominences picks him auditions. The stagnation in the film industry which has affected qualitative content production and progress as a sense of identification supersedes their opportunity worth.
He calls upon the industry to address proper structuring channels amongst the many artistical roles and how each can leverage productivity from the other. Proper structuring can tackle the high unemployment level among the many talented youth who lack a platform to exploit their creative ideologies.
Patriq cautions the upcoming minds to embrace persistence, paramount discipline, learn something new each day because learning has no climax each moment in time a new idea or creation hits the market. They should find ways to acquire the necessary knowledge to help them tackle the new different opportunities that cross their paths.
