Bio

Harriet Nalubwama is a legendary Ugandan actress, who graced the Film industry in the early 90’s under one the oldest theatrical groups known as the Ebonies. She held her self a popular name amongst the Ugandan households as Nakawunde, a village character from Kiboga.

She started as a dancer with the Ebonies group at a tender age as this exposed her to a number of skills, experiences that helped her to easily transition from dancing to the acting platform. Her versatility came in handy as the ability to exhaust each character she was given to landed the major breakthrough of Nakawunde in the Television drama That’s Life Mwattu

Harriet’s journey in the film industry started at a tender age based on responsibility and nurturing between her family and the Ebonies Group. Balancing family and drama had its short comings. Her celebratory actress journey has held the lime light to date even after she stepped away from the acting scene, her storyline still lives on.

She urges the government to invest in projects that can promote talent and self-awareness, opening more training intuitions to be able to educate the youth on script writing, acting and drama, this will instigate more productivity and great content creation for a competitive advantage. Sponsoring of projects to create a platform for new ideologies for the film industry.

Harriet advises the young creatives out there to focus more on the productivity of quality above quantity because with the right content quality one’s bound to attract the right platform, new ideologies a wider range of opportunities. Persistence and resilience is the key to make it in the film industry.
