Bio

Cleopatra Koheirwe is an award winning actress, writer, singer and radio personality. Her first role featured her on the last king of Scotland which was her breakthrough in the film industry. This garnered her numerous roles in different film and television projects locally and internationally including a role on the Netflix’s Sense 8 as mother in season two.

Her inspiration sprouted from watching television sitcom and her name sake Cleopatra Jones. The thrill of watching other put passion into acting lured her into pursuing the career of acting. Alongside her singing career with the Obsession groups, she has worked on television and radio stations hosting different programs.

Acting has opened many doors for her through popularity, as an actress she has faced some challenges for instance while working on the international scene, fellow actors don’t acknowledge one personally but as a country you are representing. The little support from the government towards the film industry has deterred its progress.

She advises the young talented and creative minds out there to stay driven and focused on their goals and be open to criticism and learning, have professionalism and self-respect as your emblem if you intend to go far. She calls upon the government to put laws and regulations that favor the growth of the Film Industry and support their growth.
